About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Counsel to join our rapidly growing organization at Salesloft. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth and expansion in the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts of all types, including large-scale enterprise SaaS agreements.
  • Partner with internal business clients to develop and execute action plans to resolve contract negotiation issues.
  • Support various legal projects, including those related to privacy, security, employment, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with subject matter legal experts and outside attorneys to ensure efficient delivery of legal services in EMEA.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal contacts, including Security, Risk Management, Finance, People Operations, Sales, Technology, and other departments.

Requirements
  • Qualified to practice in England and Wales.
  • 4+ years PQE with relevant experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts, particularly in the context of SaaS transactions.
  • Experience as part of an in-house legal department for a fast-paced, high-growth software/SaaS company is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and other European and global security and privacy laws, and data security and privacy best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of UK commercial and contractual law.
  • Experience with UK and/or Polish employment laws and regulations is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Documented history of ability to balance multiple initiatives and competing demands.
  • Collaborative work ethic and ability to work in a team-oriented/open environment.
What You'll Achieve
  • Within one month, you'll attend Salesloft's New Hire Orientation, learn about the Salesloft story, and understand what makes our team unique.
  • Learn and understand the Salesloft legal team's position on various topics relevant to contracts and business operations.
  • Negotiate and draft procurement contracts for goods, events, software/SaaS, and services.
  • Begin 1:1's with your manager, meet and shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and familiarize yourself with the legal team's processes and systems.
  • Meet key partners in Revenue, Information Security, Finance, and Corporate Services, Technology, Product, Marketing, etc.
What You'll Achieve in the Next Three Months
  • Work directly with the Revenue team to negotiate and draft sales-side Master Subscription Agreements, Data Processing Addendums, Statements of Work, and Order Forms.
What You'll Achieve in the Next Six Months
  • Start to undertake other Salesloft legal team initiatives, such as process improvement or internal policy implementation, particularly with respect to Salesloft's operations in EMEA.
What You'll Achieve in the Next Twelve Months
  • Be considered a subject matter expert in what it takes to get both sales and procurement transactions done at Salesloft.
  • Exercise your legal and professional judgment to help expand and scale the legal function at Salesloft.
