About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services to patients across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all aspects of analytical work, adhering to the 'Standards of Proficiency' as defined by the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Contribute to the provision of a capillary phlebotomy service and participate in out-of-hours, weekend, and bank holiday working.
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues to improve and develop working practices, demonstrating leadership qualities and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Requirements
  • IBMS accredited BSC in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
  • Registration with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • Commitment to complete the relevant Specialist BMS IBMS portfolio.
  • Experience with a range of laboratory techniques and a detailed understanding of job content.
  • Ability to work with other colleagues to improve and develop working practices, demonstrating leadership qualities and a commitment to continuous professional development.
