Job Title: International Tax Manager

The International Tax Manager role is a critical position within the Global Tax team at IFS, responsible for providing tax expertise and management support in key regions across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee international tax activities, ensuring timely filing of tax returns by local entities.
  • Lead reporting of income taxes in consolidated group financing statements, including quarterly and year-end provision processes.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes and controls, including software solutions for income tax reporting.
  • Set and manage transfer pricing policies, operations, and documentation.
  • Partner with the business and support stakeholders through business changes, identifying tax implications and solutions.
  • Support tax planning and structuring, managing relationships with external tax advisors.
  • Manage forecasting of effective tax rate and cash taxes across the Group.
  • Support the International Tax Director in assessing tax risks arising from M&A target organizations.
  • Manage local tax audits, including review of requests and responses.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, driving change and continuous improvement.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, managing numerous work streams.
  • Ability to problem-solve, think analytically, and drive solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, sharing knowledge and ideas.
  • Ability to build and develop strong internal and external relationships.
  • Confident and effective communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.

Essential Education and Experience:

  • Professional certification (ACA and/or CTA), with at least 4 years PQE.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax accounting under IAS12 in large consolidated financial statements.
  • Established career in corporate income tax, working in or with large multinational companies.
  • Good working knowledge of Transfer Pricing.
  • Experience managing people.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (2:1 or equivalent).
  • Experience in a big 4 public accounting firm.
  • Experience working in an in-house tax team.
  • Software/SaaS industry experience.
  • Practical experience of Transfer Pricing policies, operations, and documentation.
  • Experience of tax transformation and/or technology solutions.
