We are seeking a highly skilled Product Director, Search to lead our Search product team at Roku. As a key member of our product organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a product roadmap that drives user engagement and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive the product roadmap for Roku's Search across all touchpoints, maintaining feature priorities, understanding how those features drive user engagement and customer reviews, developing detailed product requirement documentation, and evangelizing those priorities as part of the Roku product planning process.
- Monitor consumer and business KPIs across Search performance and AB test dashboards to make data-informed decisions and work with Analytics to keep updating the success criteria across features.
- Ensure technologies adhere to applicable compliance, privacy, legal, and security requirements. You will communicate with partner management as necessary.
- Product sense and craftsmanship are core to the role, which involves identifying key pain points and partnering with UX and research in building new UI/UX experiences for Search.
- Drive a multi-year product vision to introduce next-generation capabilities to Search experiences using technologies like Generative-AI/LLMs and bring search and browse experiences closer together.
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering quality products and making appropriate trade-offs between user engagement and revenue.
- Build strong relationships across product, design, engineering, and partner management teams to discover new growth areas for Search and collaborate on feature launches.
- Be a search expert by knowing content metadata, machine learning algorithms, large language models, and the opportunities they bring to a successful product.
- 5+ years experience in software product management focusing on Consumer Search or Video or related data-driven products with large customer bases.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills as you'll be interacting with product, business strategy, and engineering leaders at various levels.
- Demonstrated leadership in complex projects with ambiguity, trade-offs, and diverse and global teams.
- Experience with content metadata, Search engine technologies, Search relevance, Machine learning/AI, and AB testing/analysis at scale.
- A passion for consumer experience, including concrete examples of delivering measurable increases in user engagement and driving revenue.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working on a TV operating system is an asset.
