We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with students aged 11-16 who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and SEMH needs.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support and guidance to students with SEN and SEMH needs;">
  • Working with small groups of children to promote their social and behavioral development;">
  • Acting as a mentor and building positive relationships with students;">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Psychology (BA Hons) degree;">
  • An Enhanced DBS clearance (clean and relevant);">
  • Safeguarding and prevent awareness training;">
  • Behaviour management training (desirable);">
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships;">
  • Previous experience working with young people;">
  • Good knowledge of SEMH needs;">
