Job Title: Qualified Secondary School Teaching Assistant Location: Burnley Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract Type: Temporary, Full-Time About the Role: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a dynamic team at a secondary school.
In this role, you will work alongside teachers to provide academic support, assist with lesson delivery, and help maintain a positive classroom environment.
You will be instrumental in supporting students' learning and development, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities: Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those with SEN.
Assist in the preparation of teaching resources and classroom materials.
Help monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback where necessary.
Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, supporting students in staying focused and engaged.
Support the teacher in classroom management and discipline.Ideal Candidate: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with secondary school students, especially those with SEN, is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, patient, and positive approach to supporting students.
Ability to adapt and work flexibly across a range of subjects and year groups.
