About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications and Fundraising Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our Charity Team, you will play a vital role in promoting the profile of Swansea Bay Health Charity amongst staff, patients, stakeholders, media, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and promotion of the Charity's profile through effective reactive media relations, responding to media requests/calls from journalists as appropriate.
  • Assist with the Charity's administration of email and letter correspondence, as well as event planning.
  • Work autonomously, using your initiative to preempt problems and offer potential fixes.
  • Develop and implement digital media strategies to engage with our audience and promote the Charity's work.
  • Collaborate with the Charity Team to achieve positive media coverage and support the Charity's fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Educated to a degree in a related area (communications, marketing, PR, journalism) or equivalent work experience in a communications/marketing environment.
  • Professional qualifications in marketing, PR or journalism.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Understanding of best practice and industry standards around writing for digital and online audiences.
  • Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office.
