Engineering Lecturer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Engineering to join our team at the University of Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in mechanical, automotive, or robotic engineering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with expertise in one or more of the areas of materials, mechanical, manufacturing, or robotics engineering. They will have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with students using a variety of teaching methods and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
The successful applicant will be responsible for devising and delivering teaching for the Department in our mechanical, automotive, or robotic engineering courses. They will also be expected to contribute to the development of new courses and programs, and to engage in individual and/or collaborative research activity contributing to the department's REF submission.
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable individuals who will integrate easily into the department, able to take over various teaching roles. Part of the activity will be teaching in our Trans National Education programmes abroad.

The successful candidate will have a track record of publications in high-quality international journals and excellent IT skills, with the ability to produce high-quality and inclusive teaching materials. They will also have experience in teaching in higher education in the fields mentioned above.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a starting salary of £46,485 to £55,295 per annum, pro rata if part time. We also offer a range of benefits, including a cycle to work scheme and dedicated cycling paths.
