Civil Engineering Industrial Placement Opportunity

Our 12-month Industrial Placement programme offers you the chance to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting, working on projects that directly impact the energy industry.
What does this opportunity offer you?
You'll be based at Hinkley Point C (HPC) construction site or Satellite Delivery Centre, both located in Bridgwater. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues, learning through hands-on experience and contributing to the success of our projects.

Previous students on our Civil Engineering Industrial Placement have been involved in projects such as:
- Supporting improvements to safety through communications campaigns, training and other improvement projects.
- Looking at how radiation protection supports the building and operational life of new power stations; developing the skills necessary to support a wide range of teams in order to provide advice on radiation protection.
- Assisting in running, maintaining, and developing the condition monitoring programme throughout a plant.

Your work location
You will be based at Hinkley Point C (HPC) construction site or Satellite Delivery Centre, both located in Bridgwater.
Who you are
We are looking for candidates who are on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering. You should possess strong technical and analytical skills, along with a genuine desire to learn and develop new capabilities. A questioning attitude, good teamwork, and effective communication skills are also essential qualities we seek.
