Job Summary

We are hiring a Mechatronics Team Manager to lead our client's team of engineers in developing cutting-edge automation technologies. This is a rare career opportunity for an experienced Mechatronics Engineer who will take the lead in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality automation systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, designing and developing innovative automated equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide the Mechatronic team in support of assigned automation projects
  • Mentor the engineering team, ensuring adherence to processes and high standards of work
  • Design and develop automated equipment from concept to delivery
  • Manage technical documentation, project control, and customer communications
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (8+ years)
  • 5+ years' experience in Mechanical Design/Engineering, with responsibility for design sign-off, installation, and commissioning
  • Proven experience with 3D design tools like SolidWorks
  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • A team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary, based on experience (£85,000 - £110,000), health insurance, pension, and flexible/hybrid working arrangements. You will also have access to a car park and Bike to Work scheme.
