About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Williams Racing. As a key member of our Systems Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke software applications that analyze car telemetry data in real-time during race events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our race team from the Remote Ops Room in Grove, monitoring and running our data processing software using live telemetry.
  • React quickly to sensor or data issues when the car is on track, ensuring the team has the necessary information to make informed decisions.
  • Search for opportunities for improvement or automation, collaborating with other departments to capture data requirements.
  • Develop your software engineering skills with support from the team, working with cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements
  • Strong foundation in programming or software engineering, with proficiency in MATLAB.
  • Basic knowledge of GIT source control and interest in data analysis, such as signal processing.
  • Ability to debug software in high-pressure situations, with a keen eye for detail and forethought in your programming.
