About the Role

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting multiple Hardware Engineers (Mid-Level / Senior) on a Permanent basis based in Staffordshire.

Candidates must be a UK National or UK Citizen and not have lived outside of the UK in the last 5 years for Security Clearance purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing electrical panels containing PLC's and LV distribution systems.
  • Design of electrical cabling and containment systems.
  • Implementation of projects and development of technical solutions.
  • Good working knowledge of Auto CAD Electrical, Microsoft office word & excel.
  • Able to achieve security clearance to at least SC level, and possibly DV.
  • Excellent communication skills for client contact and mentoring.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers and technicians.
  • Understanding of related safety and environmental legislation.
  • Developing technical solutions to meet project and customer expectations.
  • Thorough understanding of, or working towards, BS7671 IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Understanding of IEC BS EN, Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
  • Confidence to work within a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Working with production to see the design through to completion.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • Understanding of EMC practices.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineering status.
  • MEng qualification.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Site experience (survey /install).
