About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our team at Wallyford Learning Campus in Musselburgh. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our premises, including kitchen and catering areas, toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas.

Key Tasks:
  • Clean facilities according to our specifications, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all.
  • Maintain kitchen and catering areas, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Keep toilets, changing rooms, and other sanitary areas spotless, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Participate in special cleaning programs during designated periods, contributing to the overall tidiness of the campus.
  • Collect and dispose of waste responsibly, prioritizing sustainability and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Clean and maintain waste bins, ensuring they are always ready for use.
  • Enforce health and safety policies and COSHH procedures, protecting both colleagues and visitors.
Requirements and Benefits

This role requires a minimum of 12 months cleaning experience, although it is not essential. Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 certification or equivalent is highly desirable for roles involving work with children.
