Job Description

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Control Stock Maintenance Lead in the Contingent Operational Stock and Sustainability Assessment Cell (COSSAC) team within the Supply Chain Governance (SCG) area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the detailed day-to-day records of Controlled Stocks (CS) holdings on Defence Logistic IT systems and bespoke records.
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders across Defence to ensure the size and content of CS items within your responsibility are correct and respond to authorised requests to increase or lower CS holdings.
  • Advise and guide Army, Navy & Air Force and Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) on the processes to ensure the module constructs are maintained appropriately.
  • Conduct regular CS module reviews and maintain the CS Databook.
  • Assist in CS planning for CS creation and usage.
  • Line Management responsibilities, ensuring your team is supported both professionally and personally.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain and inventory Management experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly within EXCEL.
  • Training in Defence Logistic Information systems (such as MJDI, BIWMS, SS3 etc) is a distinct advantage.
