We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Shoal Seafood Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all warehouse activities, maximizing warehouse productivity, and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Manage, develop, and lead teams in the delivery of an operationally excellent warehouse in line with business requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and develop continuous improvement activity in your area of responsibility in the delivery of quality, value, and customer service.
- Performance Monitoring: Take ownership of department KPI's, ensuring targets are fully met through the management and monitoring of team's performance.
- Performance Reviews: Carrying out regular reviews on performance and KPI achievement, putting in corrective actions and other gap closures as appropriate.
- Compliance: Comply with all legalities, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental policies.
- Workplace Maintenance: Maintain and clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Procedures: Follow internal procedures in relation to fish & food preparation and temperature controls.
- Regulatory Compliance: Responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
- Performance Standards: Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the factory environment.
- Customer Service: Provide a strong customer service culture throughout your department/team.
- Team Development: Develop the team using a coaching/mentoring approach.
- Communication: Ensure regular briefings and communications to the team.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in fish preparation/processing is desirable.
- Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' experience within a supervisory role in Food Manufacturing is essential.
- Skills: Organisational skills and management of results.
- Coaching & Development: Coaching & development of teams.
- Resource Management: Ability to effectively allocate & maximise resource.
- Approach: A self-starter with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
- Communication: Professional manner and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure and remain calm whilst still maintaining attention to detail.
- Prioritization: Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Relationship Building: Develops relationships within own department and cross functionally with the rest of the Business.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to diffuse and resolve conflict.
