We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support the educational development of students in a school in the Tunbridge Wells area. This role is essential for working closely with experienced teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:- Personalised Support: Provide individualized learning activities, one-on-one assistance, and small group sessions to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Classroom Collaboration: Assist teachers in preparing and organizing materials and resources to inspire a love for learning and create an engaging classroom environment.
- Inclusive Environment: Ensure a safe and inclusive learning space that promotes the well-being and safeguarding of all students.
- Behavior Management: Help manage student behavior and encourage positive social interactions.
- Progress Monitoring: Aid in assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
- Experience: Previous experience working with SEN children, preferably in a teaching assistant role.
- Passion for Learning: A genuine passion for fostering a love of learning in students.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents/carers.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
- Patience and Resilience: The ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification or a willingness to undertake training.
