Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to support the Marketing Manager in implementing the marketing strategy and tactical campaigns for a leading professional association in the wellness industry.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in business or marketing and a minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing and communications. They will be responsible for managing email newsletters, social media channels, and designing marketing materials in Adobe InDesign.

The role will also involve helping to increase membership through presentations to colleges, universities, and private training providers, as well as working with the Senior Marketing, Communications and Membership Manager and Membership and Insurance Teams to develop and implement strategies to attract, grow, retain, and engage members.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage email newsletters using third-party platforms, collating stories, downloading member data from CRM, and sending out fortnightly newsletters.
  • Manage all social media channels, driving audience reach and engagement.
  • Help increase membership through presentations to colleges, universities, and private training providers.
  • Design marketing materials in Adobe InDesign, including trade magazine adverts, flyers, brochures, postcards, social media graphics, logos, member folders, and certificates.
  • Help with website updates on Umbraco sites.
  • Write and create multi-format content, including blogs, podcasts, and videos.
  • Help organise and attend events, including the annual Excellence Awards.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing, Communications and Membership Manager and Membership and Insurance Teams to develop and implement strategies to attract, grow, retain, and engage members.
  • Regularly communicate with members through various channels to foster positive relationships and solicit feedback to improve the member experience.
  • Provide informative and accurate information on membership statistics.

Requirements:

  • Degree level in business or marketing desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing and communications.
  • Experience of managing events desirable.
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud and InDesign packages essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of online CMS and CRM systems.
  • Experience of copywriting and design.
