Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Group. As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring load security and completing paperwork using a handheld PDA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer
  • Ensuring load security using ratchet straps
  • Completing paperwork using a handheld PDA
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customers' expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions

Requirements:

  • Must hold a UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
