Job Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School Setting

Days/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (8:45 - 3:15)

About the Role:

  • Working with groups of children aged between 3 and 11 (Nursery to Year 6) and supporting their learning and development.
  • Following instructions and guidance given by the class teacher to ensure effective lesson delivery.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of children in and out of the classroom environment.
  • Supervising children during playtime and lunchtime activities to promote social skills and responsibility.
  • Providing support to children with special educational needs and disabilities to ensure inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and preparation to enhance student outcomes.
  • Delivering small group instruction and one-on-one support to students who require additional help.
  • Monitoring student progress and reporting back to teachers to inform future instruction.
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
