Job Description
  • Supporting Learning: Assist teachers in delivering lessons, working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning.
  • Classroom Management: Help manage student behavior, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare materials and resources needed for lessons, such as worksheets and displays.
  • Supporting Special Needs: Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with tasks like marking work, record-keeping, and organizing classroom resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with children as a teaching assistant is essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Level 2 or above qualifications in education, childcare, or special education are required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
