We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As an Audiology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with hearing and ear-related issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide sensitive advice to patients regarding their auditory status, developing and advising on interventions and rehabilitation programs based on autonomous clinical opinion.
- Offer theoretical and clinical knowledge to a range of practitioners, presenting summary data to the department at clinical audit meetings.
- Work within the adult team to deliver clinical direction to the service, within the boundaries set by the service leads, including lone working at off-site locations.
- Be aware of the referral-to-treatment position of the adult service, ensuring that the leads of the service are appraised of threats to breaching.
- Contribute to the efficiencies of device utilization and patient benefit outcomes, as well as awareness of DNA rates for the adult service.
- Conduct daily stage A calibration checks on all equipment to be included within clinical tasks for the day, reporting any calibration failures to the head of service and calibration lead.

Person Specification- BSc in a science subject or MSc training in Audiology.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of adult Audiological assessment and rehabilitation.
- Ability to select optimal hearing aid and programming algorithm for the clinical condition.
- Ability to use complex software inherent to hearing aid programming and patient data collection.
