About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and conducting adult audiological assessments and rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sensitive advice to patients regarding their auditory status and develop and advise on interventions and rehabilitation programs.
  • Conduct daily stage A calibration checks on all equipment and report any calibration failures to the head of service and calibration lead.
  • Work within the adult team to deliver clinical direction to the service and contribute to the efficiencies of device utilization and patient benefit outcomes.
  • Conduct research and development programs in Audiology for UHS and maintain own audit activity as a requirement for continued registration with regulatory bodies.

Person Specification

Essential

  • BSc in science subject or MSc training in Audiology.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of adult audiological assessment and rehabilitation.

Desirable

  • CACDP stage 2 BSL.
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in Adult Rehabilitation.
