Engineering Manager Job Description

Astute's Power Team is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance strategy for a state-of-the-art CCGT Power Station in South Lincolnshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the full maintenance strategy for the site, focusing on maximizing plant availability and reliability.
  • Manage the Asset Criticality register, plan outages, and oversee unplanned outages/shutdowns.
  • Optimize processes, including planning, scheduling, and execution activities, to increase maintenance plant availability.
  • Oversee the PPSR legislation on site and ensure full adherence to H&S and legislation.
  • Lead the condition monitoring program.
  • Assist with the development of QA systems and manage KPIs.
  • Manage third-party agreements and contracts.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate should have a HNC or Degree in a relevant Engineering field.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification.
Personal Qualities:
  • At least 5 years of experience working on a Thermal Power Station or similar, such as CCGT, Coal, Biomass, Waste to Energy, Cogeneration, etc.
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading multi-disciplined maintenance teams and delivering an effective maintenance strategy.
  • Full knowledge of PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant legislation, such as BS PAS 55, ISO, etc.
  • Budget, P&L, and Contract management experience.
