Youth Justice Services Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Justice Services Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our youth justice services, working with children and young people who have offended, and their families and carers.
About the Role:- Undertake assessments and planning interventions with children and young people, their parents and carers, taking account of risk to victims, the public, and self.
- Be familiar with relevant legislation and national and local policies relating to youth justice and effective practice developments.
- Work in a range of settings, including courts, police stations, secure estate, educational establishments, children's homes, family homes, and Children's Services settings.
- Meet all requirements relating to the maintenance of formal records of assessments, work with children and young people, and case management supervision.
- Confidently interact with service users and their families/carers.
- Self-led time management skills, and the ability to prioritise your workload and the demands of the service while dealing with conflicting demands and stressful situations.
- Casework responsibility, undertaking complex assessments, and analysing risk.
- Devising and delivering programs of intervention with young people and their families/carers.
- Working in 1:1 and group settings with young people and families, and other professionals.
- Writing reports to deadlines and at a standard suitable for scrutiny by courts.
