Geo-Environmental Engineer

Are you a skilled Geo-Environmental Engineer looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team as a Geo-Environmental Engineer at BakerHicks, a leading engineering consultancy.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team in Salford Quays. As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and inputting to various stages of Geo-Environmental and Ground Engineering deliverables, supporting the company's growth on all aspects of projects including public, infrastructure, life sciences, nuclear, and aviation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and input to various stages of Geo-Environmental and Ground Engineering deliverables
  • Support the company's growth on all aspects of projects
  • Undertake various assessments, preparing reporting and supporting on all geo-environmental tasks as required
  • Keep up to date with Geo-Environmental design trends / customer awareness / design techniques
  • Review specialist subcontractor's reports for technical compliance with design intent
  • Support the development of Geo-Environmental service capabilities across BakerHicks' geographic locations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or another relevant subject
  • Some experience within a Geo-Environmental / Engineering Consultancy
  • Experience supporting preparation of Phase 1 and Phase 2 geo-environmental technical reports, including Ground Gas risk assessment
  • Scheduling of Geo-Environmental laboratory testing
