Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking a driven and professional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fortem Cares. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, lead the surveying structure, and manage a team. Your responsibilities will include accurate reporting, stakeholder management, and ensuring value for money from the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure company entitlement within contract parameters
  • Promote company values internally and externally
  • Achieve or exceed budget targets
  • Manage contractual arrangements and cash flow
  • Analyze job cost against revenue for data-driven decision making
  • Resolve disputes and ensure accurate cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare and report management information
  • Support Cost Value Reconciliations and management accounts

Requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Commercial management experience
  • Strong numeracy and organization skills
  • Relevant degree or equivalent training
  • IT proficiency, especially in Excel
  • Contractual awareness and negotiation skills
  • Line management experience
  • Knowledge of relevant contract conditions
  • Experience in management accounts

Desired criteria:

  • Working towards MCIOB or RICS membership
