Our client, a leading consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role involves providing cost management and contract administration services on a range of projects, from initial feasibility studies through to completion.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, delivering high-quality services to clients across diverse sectors. As a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities, and undertaking tender analysis and contractor recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project costs from inception to completion.
  • Prepare cost plans, estimates, and bills of quantities.
  • Undertake tender analysis and contractor recommendations.
  • Provide advice on contract management and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct site visits and valuations.
  • Manage change control and assess variations.
  • Prepare final accounts and oversee project closure.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • First Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards the final stages of achieving it is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying roles, ideally within consultancy environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including JCT and NEC 4.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in cost management software and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
