Salary
The successful candidate can expect a salary of £59,175 - £95,400 per annum (pro-rata) depending on experience.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Community Paediatrics Specialty Doctor position in the Barking and Dagenham Specialist Children Service. This is a substantive, full-time role based at the Child and Family Health Centre, 79 Axe Street, Barking, IG11 7L.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of experienced healthcare professionals, including Consultant Paediatricians, Specialist Grade Doctors, and Core Trainees, working together to provide high-quality care to babies, children, and young people across Barking and Dagenham.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide senior medical support and guidance to colleagues
- Directly work with babies, children, and young people, and their families, liaising as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals
- Participate in the local Child Protection rota
- Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work independently
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding
- At least 4 years postgraduate training including community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences)
- Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training
