As an End of Life Patient Support and Volunteering Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients and their loved ones. This rewarding position involves developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive End of Life Care Volunteer programme that prioritizes compassion, empathy, and dignity.About the Opportunity

This role offers a unique chance to join our dedicated team of professionals who share a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. Working closely with clinical teams and the specialist palliative care team, you will identify patients who could benefit from support and collaborate with our End of Life Care Volunteers to provide comfort and companionship during their final days.

Main Responsibilities
  • To develop, implement, and manage a dedicated End of Life Care Volunteer programme that aligns with the trust's values and objectives.
  • To recruit, train, manage, and supervise a team of End-of-Life Care Volunteers, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • To establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Voluntary Services and End of Life Care Leads, to guarantee seamless integration of the End of Life volunteering service into the trust's operations.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English or equivalent experience
  • NVQ level 3 Customer Care or equivalent qualification or experience
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
