Job Overview:

CV-Library is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs at a specialist school in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and experience working in a specialist or SEN school setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN
  2. Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure pupils continue to develop
  3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and encourages learning
  4. Manage students' behaviors and ensure compliance with the school's policies

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Experience working in a specialist or SEN school setting is highly desirable
  • A deep understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching methods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
