Nurse Leadership Opportunity for Patient Care Delivery

Job Purpose: The post holder will provide leadership for the delivery of patient care within their area of responsibility. This will involve managerial responsibility for the area in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse/Team Manager, including supervision and deployment of staff.
The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans, and delivery of high-quality care to patients. They will also have specific responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of patient care delivery within area of responsibility
- Managerial responsibility for area in absence of Senior Charge Nurse/Team Manager
- Supervision and deployment of staff
- Assessment of care needs and evaluation of care plans
- Maintenance of clinical and staff governance
Requirements:
- Degree in nursing or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in leadership or management
- Experience in patient care delivery and leadership
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Additional Information:
- NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay
- Part-time staff will also experience a pro-rata reduction in working hours
- You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid
