About the Role:

North East Ambition is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key contact point for Service budget managers, you will provide financial advice and support, assisting on the preparation of statutory grant claims and returns.

In this dynamic role, you will contribute to the development of the Council's Medium Term Financial Plan, prepare and present financial reports to senior management, and develop and implement effective financial management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial advice and support to Service budget managers
  • Assist on the preparation of statutory grant claims and returns

Requirements:

  • Experience of financial and performance management within a comparable organisation
  • A successful track record of engaging effectively with others at a senior level and building productive partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
