Automotive Systems Specialist - Ipswich
Salary: £35,000 + OTE £42,000, plus bonus and overtime available
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8-5.30pm, contractual 1 in 2 Sat mornings

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Systems Specialist to join our client's main dealership in Ipswich. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist as our client is never short on work and can offer a market leading commission scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Repair or equivalent.
  • At least 1 years of experience as a vehicle technician.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
