Aerospace & Defence Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling multi-carrier parcel solutions to online e-commerce retailers.
You will have a strong background in selling e-commerce parcel solutions to online retailers and have the commitment and drive to achieve ambitious yet realistic targets.
This is a challenging position that requires frequent travel, and you are required to hold a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities- Create, agree, and execute a sales plan for your geographic area.
- Identify and understand prospective customer needs and how our solutions can be tailored to help resolve their problems.
- Deliver presentations to bring our proposition to life with the goal of securing new business wins.
- Work with both customers and colleagues to ensure a smooth onboarding journey that creates a strong foundation for the customer relationship.
- Plan and conduct sales calls and develop relationships in the local market.
- Effectively utilise CRM and sales lead generation tools to maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline.
- Work as part of a team to increase our volume of the right parcel traffic into the depot and provide our customers with a service we can be proud of.
- 3 years of experience in selling parcel services to eCommerce businesses with a proven track record in meeting sales targets.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including the ability to analyse data, draw relevant conclusions, and make recommendations to customers.
