About the Role

Countrystyle Recycling is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our Rollon/Skips department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing an effective, profitable, and compliant daily transport plan and managing fleet resources to ensure business requirements and customer satisfaction are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily transport plans to optimize fleet resources and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Review, allocate, and schedule jobs for the Roll-on/skip fleet to maximize operational and logistical performance.
  • Liaise with drivers to ensure effective vehicle resources are available and safe vehicle operations are maintained.
  • Support the optimization of fleet resources and operations to improve profitability and customer service.
  • Assist with transport activities, including the implementation of road transport compliance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage a team of drivers in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve customer service queries.
  • Ensure all queries within the transport operation are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload and work under pressure.
  • Good geographic knowledge of London and the South East.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Full understanding of driver hours and driving regulations.
  • Previous experience in a planning role in a busy transport office environment.
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external customers and service providers.
