Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Meriden Media. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repairs on our plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including forging presses, furnaces, and machine tools.
  • Conduct electrical installations and PAT testing to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to achieve plant maintenance objectives.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults, using technical drawings and documentation to inform your work.
  • Work at heights and in enclosed spaces, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of electrical systems, including medium voltage distribution systems.

Requirements:

  • Time-served electrical experience, with trade papers and a proven track record of fault-finding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Basic IT skills, with the ability to use software and systems to support maintenance activities.
  • Prior experience in electrical maintenance, covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, and troubleshooting.
