As an Apprentice IT Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a small team, providing excellent customer service and support, and contributing to the success of our company, With Support Limited. Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line technical support to customers via phone and other communication channels
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows 10 and 11 desktops, Windows and Linux servers, and other IT-related problems
  • Participating in an apprenticeship study scheme to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to this position
  • Working from a ticketing system and accurately logging all work
  • Correctly prioritizing ticket flow and escalating where necessary
  • Some coding in bash, batch, and Python
  • Maintaining a good customer relationship for all support queries

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently
  • Basic grasp of the Linux command line
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Desktop
  • Ability to take direction and follow procedures
  • Highly motivated, can show initiative and results

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven attendance and punctuality record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
  • A strong focus on quality
  • Commitment to take responsibility for tasks
  • Good organizational skills
  • Minimum 8 GCSEs grade 5 or above
  • Minimum grade 6 in Maths and English GCSE
