Job Title: Technical Supervisor - Sports

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our Sports team at Sky. As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our production teams, ensuring that our broadcasts meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams, including setting up galleries, studios, and equipment.
  • Ensure that signal paths are correctly aligned and systems are configured to broadcast standards.
  • Route internal and external sources, floor vision monitoring, and in-vision monitoring.
  • Match signals, color balance, and video levels to ensure broadcast standards are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other technical areas, OBs, remote productions, and MCRs to ensure content goes to air correctly.
Requirements:
  • Up-to-date knowledge of broadcast technology, developments, and techniques, including Remote Production and HDR.
  • Experience with broadcast standard equipment, including camera and replay systems, with good engineering skills.
  • Understanding of all aspects of studio/production gallery technical processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comprehension of IP and cloud-based workflows beneficial.

Location:

Osterley Campus, a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station, with free shuttle buses to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway, and South Ealing tube stations.
