Job Title: Technical Supervisor - Sports

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our Sports team at Sky. As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our production teams, ensuring that our broadcasts meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams, including setting up galleries, studios, and equipment.
  • Ensure that signal paths are correctly aligned and configure systems technically to broadcast standards.
  • Route internal and external sources, floor vision monitoring, and in-vision monitoring.
  • Match signals, color balance, and video levels by eye using the appropriate interfaces, measuring devices, and monitoring.
  • Develop, contribute to, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Possibility of travel to support OB technical rigs and operations.
Requirements:
  • Highly motivated, with a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
  • Positive and resilient with a strong work ethic.
  • Collaborative and calm under pressure.
  • Confident to step into studio and live production environments.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of broadcast technology, developments, and techniques, including Remote Production and HDR.
  • Experience with broadcast standard equipment, including camera and replay systems, ideally with good engineering skills.
  • Understanding of all aspects of studio/production gallery technical processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comprehension of IP and cloud-based workflows beneficial.
