Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Medical Devices


Team Consulting is an internationally renowned medical device development consultancy based in the UK.   • Work with a motivated team of professionals and be trained to use the latest CAE technology, delivering projects for a range of international clients.
  • Provide input on a range of product developments, from concept to production, in the healthcare and life science industries.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Generate innovative product designs in multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Develop detailed component, mechanism, and assembly designs for high-volume manufacture.
  • Diagnose problems and present potential solutions to the project team.
  • Communicate findings and ongoing progress to the Project Manager.
  • Effectively use a wide range of CAE tools and packages across various client projects.
  • Manage own tasks and time effectively to achieve project targets.
  • Contribute to the development of regulatory submissions.
  • Work with a regulatory compliant quality management system.



Requirements:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or similar (2:1 or above), or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrable passion for healthcare and medical products.
  • At least 6 months of industrial engineering experience.
  • Ongoing right to work in the UK (Team Consulting cannot offer sponsorship for this position).



Desirable Skills:


  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD (preferably Solidworks).
  • Background in design consultancy or medical device manufacturing.
  • Medical or healthcare device modules as part of degree.
  • Risk analysis (FMEA, FTA).
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS.
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • MoldFlow.
  • Mathematical modeling using MathCAD, MATLAB, or Excel.
