About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical systems for spacecraft, including structure, thermal, and mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for spacecraft, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards.
  • Conduct mechanical requirements reviews and troubleshoot design issues.
  • Act as the technical interface with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate design and test results.
  • Perform component dimensioning and draft manufacturing documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Proven experience in managing aerospace projects and familiarity with ECSS standards.
  • Background in FEM modeling and analysis.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques used in the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with background in CAD PTC Creo software a plus.
