Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business and Finance Assistant to provide financial and administrative support to our Business and Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration of devolved budgets, financial estimates, and general financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the administration of devolved budgets, financial estimates, and general financial matters.
  • Provide advice and support in the resolution of sensitive pay queries relating to overtime, enhanced pay, unsocial hours, travel, and expenses.
  • Place orders for goods/services via the Finance System, ensuring delivery where required.

Requirements

  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in mathematics and English Language, or 12 months experience of working to that standard.
  • 2 years' experience of working within a general clerical/administrative environment requiring tact, judgment, and discretion in handling internal and external contacts.
  • Experience of dealing with financial issues such as budgets, estimates, purchase ordering, and scrutinizing invoices for payment.
