POSITION SUMMARY

At Delta Hotels Durham Royal County, we're seeking a skilled Housekeeping Team Lead to oversee the inspection and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Collaborating with Housekeeping management to prioritize room cleaning and update room status
  • Coordinating with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to resolve discrepant rooms and address guest concerns
  • Documenting and resolving issues with discrepant rooms
  • Preparing and distributing room assignments and communicating changes to the team

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
  • Follow company and safety policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance
