Job Title: Electronics Systems Engineer

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) programmes, you will undertake electronic design analysis, circuit simulation and prototyping.
  • Electronic schematic capture and PCB layout support.
  • Power supply and interface card design and/or specifications.
  • Testing and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Development of subsystem engineering solutions and specifications.
  • Definition of electronic COTS products such as Open VPX cards and power supplies.
  • Cabling and connector specifications.
  • Integration and Verification of System and Sub-Systems.
  • Support to Qualification (including EMC).
  • Production and Delivery support.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Experience of digital and analogue electronic design knowledge.
  • Board level PCB design (ideally using Siemens EDA Xpedition Enterprise).
  • Operating at the product system level.
  • Specifying and defining COTS items.
  • Working with subcontract suppliers.
  • Specifying cable and connector solutions.
  • System level integration.
  • Ability to make technical decisions within own sphere of responsibility.
  • Willingness to work proactively within a fast moving and dynamic environment.
