Job Description
The Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated High Needs Coordinator to join their team. As a High Needs Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, ensuring they receive the best possible education and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs.
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure that students receive the support they need at home and in the community.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to special needs.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and experience in special needs education or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to special needs education.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be based at the Heart of Worcestershire College, with the possibility of working at other locations from time to time. The role will involve working with students of all ages and abilities, and may require occasional travel to external meetings and training events.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role will be dependent on qualifications and experience, with a salary range of £28,122 to £30,832 per annum. The role also offers a range of benefits, including annual leave, public holidays, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The Heart of Worcestershire College is committed to the ongoing training and development of its staff, and the successful candidate will have access to a range of training and development opportunities, including health and safety training, safeguarding training, and equality and diversity training.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check, which will be paid for by the College.
