Job Overview

GSL Education - Hull seeks a compassionate and diligent Pastoral Care Officer to join our team. This role involves providing emotional and social support to students, working closely with teachers, and creating a nurturing school environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Support students' emotional and social development through individual and group pastoral care sessions.
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting well-being programs and initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with teachers and external agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  4. Develop and implement school-wide strategies to enhance student well-being.
  5. Provide ongoing training and support to school staff on mental health and wellbeing topics.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a pastoral care role, counselling, or similar youth support services.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health, and student challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or counselling are preferred.
  • Dedication to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
