Job Title: Design Manager

Location: Catterick

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Type: Hybrid

Start Date: Immediate (Flexible with notice periods)

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team in Catterick. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of design proposals, ensuring they meet customer and employer requirements, including budget and programme constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of TD digital protocols and client BIM deliverables.
  • Monitor scheme responsibilities against the project design responsibilities matrix.
  • Manage the Design Team, including M&E elements, and ensure they meet customer specifications.
  • Facilitate forums and processes to engage with commercial and operational teams.
  • Conduct QA/Initial design reviews to assist in design quality management.
  • Assist in the record approval processes.
  • Manage the design deliverables programme.
  • Facilitate meetings relating to design delivery.
  • Be aware of and assist in the management of sustainability deliverables.
  • Liaise with document project document control.
Requirements:
  • Awareness of the principles of construction.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to form effective relationships with partners under time pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • CAD knowledge is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong willingness to learn on the job and seek to extend yourself beyond the role.
