The candidate will be supporting the Directors and will be working on private residential and development projects in the UK and overseas. The role would suit a recent graduate, or a current junior designer with 1-2 years experience.

Job Description

  • The candidate will be working across both Interior Architecture and FF&E, so an interest in both areas of the design is key
  • Assist with the project budget management, produce schedules for procurement, propose fabric and finishes schemes and lead on installations where required
  • Attend client meetings, preparing meeting minutes and provide a high-quality customer service throughout with regular communication with clients
  • Prepare estimates and budget tracking (knowledge of Excel is preferred)
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the procurement process such as proformas and invoicing processes
  • Assist with preparing client presentations
  • Have a good knowledge of industry suppliers and a passion for learning new industry trends
  • Attend regular site visits with suppliers, contractors and other consultants
  • Work closely with the other designers, as a team, demonstrating a mentality that no task is too small
  • General office admin will be required – e.g. organising sample library following client meetings
  • Demonstrate a hunger to learn and expand their knowledge to develop to more senior levels

Requirements

  • Comfortable working with budgets, with strong numerical skills. An A or A* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths is required.
  • Strong interior design knowledge and skills, across multiple design disciplines and styles
  • Demonstrate experience in project management
  • Confidence working in a team as well as individually
  • Highly organised and time-orientated
  • Fast paced worker
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Excel is preferred
  • Willingness to travel overseas, if required
