Key Responsibilities- Provide academic support to students, including mentoring and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Assist the Classroom Teacher in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and collaborating with the teaching team to develop targeted interventions.
- Supervise students during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to lesson planning and classroom preparation, setting work and marking assignments to support student learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
- Hold a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Teaching Assistant, with a proven track record of supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Experience of behavior management and techniques, with a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
