The BLW Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join their busy Catering team in Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent position that will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for the college community.
About the Job:
- £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (competitive salary).
- Assist the Head Chef in developing and delivering menus that meet the College's high standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen manager to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Maintain accurate records of food production and wastage.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and report any issues promptly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate food production and service to meet College standards.
- Liaise with the kitchen manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Organize the food service area to ensure correct portions are served.
- Minimize waste and ensure accurate records are kept.
- Supervise duties and provide technical guidance when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a catering environment.
- Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
